Description
Delicious and juicy orange chicken, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 oranges (juice and zest)
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the juice and zest of the oranges, honey, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper. This will be the marinade for the chicken.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the chicken is well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the hot skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the chicken is cooking, you can strain the remaining marinade and heat it in a saucepan to make a sauce.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the chicken breasts on a plate and drizzle with the hot sauce. Garnish with orange slices if desired.
Notes
- For additional flavor, let the chicken marinate longer than 30 minutes.
- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
