Description
Simple, juicy and full of flavor beef stew
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g de bistec de res
- 2 cebollas medianas
- 1 pimiento rojo
Instructions
- Cut the beef into medium pieces. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Peel and slice the onions into strips. Do the same with the red bell pepper, removing the seeds and stem.
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the beef and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes.
- Add the onions and bell pepper to the pot. Cook over medium heat for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cover the pot. Simmer for 1 hour.
- After the time is up, check the tenderness of the beef. If tender, remove the lid and cook for another 10 minutes to evaporate some of the liquid.
- Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve hot with rice or salad.
Notes
- Serve with rice or salad for a complete meal.
- Adjust seasoning according to personal preference.
